Today many women are schooling themselves on the best menopause natural treatment that does not involve the man-made hormones that are so often prescribed. Even though hormone replacement therapy is still used widely in the US to cut back the negative symptoms associated with menopause, many ladies are increasingly becoming wary about this form of treatment which has documented after effects which include cancer.

The great news is that many of the non-drug menopause natural remedies are effective and not harmful and can be purchased privately from home.

Menopause is a syndrome when the ovaries of a woman stop producing an important hormone by the name of estrogen. As a result the symptoms experienced by women range from hot flashes at night and sleeplessness, irregular menstrual cycles, psychological problems like depression and mood swings.

The levels of sugar in the body also increase and so does the blood pressure. Doctors often suggest hormone replacement therapy to replace the hormones in the body and bring to a certain level. But if the menopause has reached a later stage then there is no other way but to go for surgery.

Generally surgical menopause involves the removal of ovaries prior top natural menopause. Menopausal surgical causes a permanent drop in the ovarian hormones, progesterone, testosterone and estrogen. It may also include the removal of the uterus and this form of surgery is called hysterectomy.
