Are you trying to find a menopausal natural cure? Relax! Each and every year, over a million women in America alone, will begin menopause. And, lets face it, every one of those women could use a little guidance in relieving their menopause symptoms.

Menopause is a condition when the levels of estrogen and progesterone in the body decrease. This is a natural process in the body and cannot be cured. The issue is, however, that menopause can result in symptoms such as fatigue, insomnia, irregular periods, mood swings, frequent urination, brain fogginess and loss of memory- to name a few. So many women today, who are going through this transition in life, opt for a menopause natural remedy to reduce or eliminate these bothersome and sometimes debilitating symptoms.

Many women are increasingly bothered by the reports of unwanted adverse effects associated with hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and plan to never take prescribed drugs to curb their menopause symptoms. An effective way to control menopause symptoms without pharmaceuticals is to use a menopause natural remedy like physical activity and more specifically, yoga.

October 15th, 2009 by Menopause | No Comments | Filed in Perimenopause

Women should keep in mind that pre-menopause is a process which leads to the real menopausal stage. The gradual decline in the women’s reproductive system produces various signs and symptoms to crop up from time to time. In some ways, it simply teaches your body to adapt to the full effect of the situation.

Pre-Menopausal Stage

Pre-menopausal is the phase where the changes in a female’s reproductive system are marked by hormonal imbalance and irregularities as functional ovaries reduce and hormone production decreases. Some female experience these pains for a span of a few months but may even last for a year depending on how their body matures and deal with the condition.

Common Signs And Symptoms

Signs and symptoms before the real menopause stage are easily seen with mood swings, periodic hot flashes and irregular menstrual period. These are just the common ones which all women feel when they under pre-menopausal. Sleeping disorder is also a sign which a woman is undergoing pre-menopausal. Constant bouts of weakness and fatigue may trigger a change in their body clock resulting to an abnormality in their sleeping patterns like wide awake during the night and fast asleep during the day.

Pre-menopausal women might also have constant mood swings and there were claims that these bouts of sadness are unexplained, unable to determine why and how it occurs. These sudden emotional outbursts might lead to intense anxiety attacks and anger as well as resulting to deep depression which may prove to be a risk if left unchecked. It was also observed that women who are under pre-menopausal might suffer from increased blood pressure, random bouts of palpitations, weight loss or weight gain because of changes in their metabolic rhythm.

Menopause Is A Natural Process, Not A Disease!

October 9th, 2009 by Menopause | 1 Comment | Filed in Menopause

Menopause is the point in a woman’s life when menstruation ceases permanently, signifying the end of her ability to have children and is diagnosed when a woman has gone without a period for twelve consecutive months. It is considered premature if it occurs prior to the age of 40, or artificial if radiation exposure, chemotherapeutic drugs, or surgery induces it. Menopause is something that happens to all women as they grow older.

Hot flashes are perhaps the most troublesome symptom associated with approaching menopause and are experienced by a majority of women during the transition period (no pun intended). An ancient Chinese therapy offers some menopausal women another option for their hot flashes.

For others however, the decreasing levels of estrogen associated with menopause may produce more distressing symptoms that include: Mood swings – Reduced sex drive – Hot flashes – Sweating – Racing heart (palpitations) – Headaches – Vaginal dryness and soreness – Trouble sleeping and Thinning bones (osteoporosis). These symptoms can last from a few months to up to 10 years.

How to Cope With Sexual Pain During Menopause

September 15th, 2009 by Menopause | No Comments | Filed in Menopause

All menopausal women will go through many changes physically and emotionally. Changes in sexual patterns are one of the major changes during menopause. The women can not ignore these facts however instead try to understand them and act accordingly.

You might realize that a woman under menopause shows lesser signs of interest in sexual intercourse as compared to her previous condition. A women body creates many hormones and one of them is Estrogen which maintains the condition of the reproductive system and assists in maintaining sexual interest. Once Estrogen level begins dropping, a women’s interest in sexual intercourse drops later. This certainly doesn’t mean you are unable to carry out sexual activities however reaching a climax or having an orgasm can be very difficult for a menopausal woman. This hormonal imbalance also brings fatigue and weakness thus loosing interest in sex totally.

Some women also having bleeding and sexual pain during sexual intercourse, this is one of the main reasons why they prevent getting in any sexual contact. That can get intolerable at times and the bleeding may increase over time. As the estrogen levels have reduced, this leads to the drying of the vagina and decreases lubrication making sexual intercourse a painful experience. In addition to this, menopausal women also experience sadness, sudden anxiety attacks, anger and emotional stress. Menopausal women go through a lot of mixed feeling, therefore concentration on sexual activities reduce drastically. One can not think of having sex whenever one is depressed or sad.

Menopause Symptoms and Signs That Accompany a New Stage of Life

August 31st, 2009 by Menopause | No Comments | Filed in Menopause

Time marches on, and whether ore not we are ready is of little difference to our bodies.

While it is possible to ‘age gracefully,’ most people realize that the process of aging brings health issues resulting in discomfort, pain, and anxiety. But do we have to quietly suffer with these ‘nuisance’ symptoms?

Feedback from my clients is a key driver for the development of my programs. I routinely see themes in this feedback, such as concerns regarding menopause, when a woman’s menstrual cycle ends.

Advances in health research and technology have changed they way menopause affects women. While many decades ago menopause marked the end of a woman’s life cycle, now they spend over a third of their lives in this stage.

Frustrating and debilitating ailments can begin up to ten years before a woman is considered to have reached menopause. This perimenopause phase precedes the time period used to define menopause, which is the absence of a menstrual cycle for at least one full year.
