We always hear middle age women talking about menopause and menopause symptoms relief. Menopause is a natural biological process which every woman will face when she gets to the age of between 45 and 55. It is by no mean an infection, ailment or a medical disorder and this process is more of a time of physical and emotional changes. With the onset of menopause lower levels of female hormones are created by the ovaries.

Until recently Hormone Replacement Therapy delivers the best menopause symptoms relief particularly night sweats and hot flushes. It was also believed that HRT could prevent heart attacks, strokes and osteoporosis.

Many women have been taking HRT for years and it is now claimed that it carries certain health dangers like blood clots, high blood pressure, breast cancer and uterine cancer. Menopausal women are advised to only take the lowest dosage which would give them menopause symptoms relief and they are also encouraged to take HRT for the shortest time frame possible. There have been menopause natural relief products available which work for some people but for those who have very severe symptoms they have to resort to Hormone Replace Therapy.

Black Cohosh In Treating Menopause

Black Cohosh has been widely used in several products for treatment of menopausal symptoms. As an average the period which precedes the real menopause (perimenopausal period) starts at the age between 40 and 50. Around 50 to 80 percent of women have one or more symptoms of the menopause such as hot flashes, night sweats or difficulties in sleeping.

One of the treatments used by a lot of women is the hormonal therapy but it cannot be a successful solution for every menopausal symptom. Normally, the hormonal replacement is beneficial for osteoporosis linked problems, the vagina dryness, the decrease of blood clots in lungs and legs.
